CES 2012: New Technology and Gadgets Outshine the Glitz in Las Vegas
Take away the lights, the gambling, the glitz, the entertainment and the endless night life and Las Vegas would be little more than the world’s largest sand trap. Even then, however, the massive Consumer Electronics Show (CES) that takes place January 10-13, 2012 would most likely be enough to attract hordes of people to see the latest and greatest in consumer and business technology showcased in one incredibly hectic week.
CES is easily the largest annual trade show in the U.S., this year spread out across 1.6 million net square feet of exhibit space that includes more than 2,700 exhibitors from 140 countries. More than 140,000 attendees are expected at this year’s event, with roughly 30,000 coming from outside the U.S.
Most every company will be showing something new or innovative, literally tens of thousands of introductions planned that touch a variety of product segments, from 3D television and computers to tablets, embedded Internet devices, mobile applications and more, according to the CEA, sponsor of the event.
TechnologyGuide editors will be there in force, covering every inch of the new product landscape to bring you the latest news, analysis and observations from the show.
