Razer is a gaming peripheral company, created by gamers, for gamers. These guys don’t skip a beat on anything gaming, and the Razer eXactMat is no exception.
The Razer eXactMat is one of the only performance mousepads out there, and with its double sided build, and striking curves, it’s better than that foam pad you have sitting on your desk.
- Two-sided, longer-lasting Anodized Aluminum mousing surfaces
- "SPEED" side for high-sensitivity users
- "CONTROL" side for low-sensitivity and professional design users
- Over-sized and uniquely-shaped, 10.4" x 13" x 0.1" (265 x 330 mm x 2.5 mm)
- Jet-black with Razer green logo
- Non-slip, anti-reflective, abrasion resistant hard coat
Reasons For Buying

I have recently been getting into gaming more and more. Being a pretty hardcore FPS (First Person Shooter) gamer, I wanted a mousepad that fit my play style, and was something more than foam or a piece of cloth like I was used to. After purchasing a Razer Diamondback and Razer Copperhead performance mice and using them for awhile, Razer was the first place I looked in my search for the perfect mousepad. The eXactMat is definitely a product for gamers, and can take an enormous beating due to its anodized aluminum construction.
Where and How Purchased
I bought my Razer eXactMat from Amazon.com. I bought the bundle set that came with the eXactRest as well. Amazon did a good job getting me my product, especially during this busy time of year with everyone redeeming gift cards and spending leftover Christmas money.
Razer takes great pride in the design of their products, and being someone who is vain about their things, this is the perfect company for me. Not only did they create an excellent gaming pad, they gave it sleek curves with jet black surfaces, with their bright green logo on top of it all. The actual mousepad is made of anodized aluminum. For those of you who aren’t science majors, anodized is when a metal is coated with a protective film by electrolytic or chemical means. The thing is nearly unbreakable, and can definitely take a beating at your next LAN party. The eXactMat is definitely not your average mousepad in the sense that it is huge. No more accidently sliding your mouse off of the mousepad when you are in a frantic firefight with your closest buddy. The exact measurements are 265 x 330 mm (10.43 in x 13.0 in), more than enough mousing room for any user. Given all of this strength and tracking space, the pad is actually very thin. It is only 2.5mm thick (0.1 in), perfect for sliding in your bag at the last minute when space is limited. Over all of this however, Razer gives us two sides to choose from. For those high sensitivity gamers out there, like myself, you will be very comfortable on the "speed" side. This side is made for extreme sliding speed, and does very well at it. The surface is extremely slick, and can be thought of as smooth, black ice. For you low sensitivity gamers, and those who want extreme precision, such as Graphic Designers, then the "control" side is made just for you. It is the same material as the "speed" side, but has millions of tiny little contours that grab at your mouse, preventing it from sliding all over the place. Both sides have large, rubber grips in all 4 corners to keep your pad steady throughout all of your gaming sessions.
Performance and Extra Features
The Razer eXactMat is the best mousepad I have ever used. It targets a wide audience with two sides, one developed for speed, and the other to give users complete control over where their mouse goes. With the bundle I purchased, I received the Razer eXactRest as well. The eXactRest is an ergonomic gel rest with Razer’s logo on it. It comes with a rubber sheet attached, that goes under the eXactMat and keeps both in place.

The Razer eXactMat is definitely a performance product. It is a pad that any gamer can use to help increase reaction speed, or weapon control. It is also a benefit to those looking for more control in their mouse, with its "control" side. If you are looking for that last accessory to complete your gaming equipment, the Razer eXactMat is it.
- Two sided: "Speed" for high sensitivity users "Control" for precision users
- Rubber Grips hold it in place
- eXactRest keeps wrist elevated
- High price tag for a mousepad
- Takes some getting used to
