The HP LaserJet Pro M175nw is a small-to-medium business (SMB) color laser multifunction device with print, scan, and copy capabilities released in July. This MFP has HP ePrint technology, meaning users can print remotely with a mobile device from the cloud. It also has energy saving features such as HP Auto-Off and Instant-On.

The M175nw features print speeds of up to 17 ppm, maximum first page out times of 15.5 seconds, print resolution of up to 600 x 600 dpi, and a monthly duty cycle of up to 20,000 pages. We’ll take a hands-on first look of the product today, revealing the specifications, build and design, pricing, and availability.

The HP LaserJet Pro M175nw resembles the HP LaserJet Pro M1217nfw in design, but not in build; it’s larger in size and is color capable. Its dimensions are 17.4 x 16.6 x 13.3 inches and it weighs in at 35.5 pounds without consumables. The M175nw has a black exterior, silver accents, and a silver control panel.

The 35-sheet automatic document feeder allows for the hands-free scanning, copying and printing of multiple documents. Directly below the ADF is the 30-bit flatbed scanner. Its scan resolution is up to 1200 dpi and its scan size reaches 8.5 x 11.7 inches (8.5 x 14 inches ADF).

The adjustable control panel features a 2-line text LCD at the top and displays the toner cartridge levels. From the panel, users may change the settings from the menu option, cancel jobs, set the number of copies, and change the copy darkness/lightness. It has a two directional navigation system.

Lift the flatbed scanner and you’ll access the black/cyan/magenta/yellow toner cartridges. The maximum monthly duty cycle is 20,000 pages. The output bin reaches 50 sheets.
