CONCLUSION
For $79.99, the Canon Pixma MP495 offers three functional devices, decent print speeds (for its class), a sleek design, wireless connectivity and a good selection of software. The MP495 could be a great fit for a family on a budget (aren’t we all?) or for a student who needs to copy and scan but has limited space.

The big issues I had with the MP495 were expected; I’ve seen the color document pause on almost every new Pixma I’ve reviewed and I’ve yet to come across a photo printer that uses the tri-color cartridge that can match the color vibrancy of a photo printer that offers four or more individual color cartridges.

As I would tell any perspective buyer before making a purchasing decision: know your budget and then find the best printer in that class. The Canon Pixma MP495 should definitely be considered for those on a tight budget (think less than a $100).

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The Canon Pixma MP495 Wireless Photo All-in-One is available now through Canon Direct and authorized vendors for the suggested retail price of $79.99.

A standard set of Canon cartridges, CL-211 and PG-210, will set a user back $36.98 while a combo pack of high capacity ink, CL-211 XL and PG-210 XL, with 50 sheets of 4×6 Glossy photo paper will cost $49.99.

Canon includes a 1-year limited warranty with their Instant Exchange program as well as offers the optional Canon CarePak Extended Service Plan (3-year warranty) for $25.
