At first glance, I like the design of the Canon imageCLASS LBP6650dn; it’s clean, professional and offers a compact footprint. This printer could easily fit on to a desk with little issue with the approximate dimensions of 16 x 15 x 11 inches (without the optional paper tray).

The 150-sheet output bin and control panel reside on top of the device. The control panel features a backlit one-line display, a four directional navigation pad and three quick keys for feed selection, cancelling a job and turning the printer online/offline.

There is a large gray button slightly removed from the control panel that gives users access to the inside of the printer and the single 119 black toner cartridge. Canon also offers the 119 II Hi-Capacity black toner cartridge.

The imageCLASS LBP6650dn offers a standard paper capacity of 300 sheets with a 50-sheet multipurpose tray that extends out from the front of the printer and the 250-sheet paper cassette pulls out from the bottom of the imageCLASS LBP6650dn. The imageCLASS LBP6650dn can be upgraded to a paper capacity of 800 sheets with the addition of the optional 500-sheet paper drawer.

On the left hand side, users have access to the 128MB standard print memory; the memory is expandable up to 320MB with a 256MB expandable card.  All connections are found on the back of the imageCLASS LBP6650dn, along with access to the internal paper path for releasing paper jams, etc.
