The first 4.7-inch iPhone has clearly been constructed to surpass its predecessor in quality above all else, jumping up in screen size to keep up with the Joneses but still retaining Apple’s signature way of doing things. The result a device that iPhone loyalists could have anticipated. The iPhone 6 is the now sitting at the ideal size for smartphones, and its performance, design, display, camera, and user interface are all as fantastic as every other iPhone has been in the past.
The downsides here are a disappointing battery, a mediocre front camera, a meager amount of non-expandable storage (unless you’re willing to shell out more cash), and a general resistance to many standards that have been set by Android flagships over the past few years, like a water-resistant design or a removable battery. But while it likely to convert any Android fans on its merits alone, the iPhone 6 is still a modern and welcome upgrade for any past iPhone users. It is the best iPhone yet.
