HP ProBook 4720s

  |   by NotebookReview Staff

The HP ProBook 4720s is a new 17-inch notebook aimed at small and medium business users. Replacing the older 4710s, this model adds the newer Intel Core i3 and i5 processors with ATI Radeon 4350 dedicated graphics. The two most important changes are the newer metal screen cover and the significantly improved battery life. Compared to the older plastic lid, the new metal cover reduces flex and adds a great deal of protection. Battery life is another huge change, going from a bit over three and a half hours to 4 hours and 48 minutes. If you are in the market for a 17-inch SMB notebook, the HP ProBook 4720s is worth considering.

  • Pros

    • Very good battery life
    • Good performance boost over older 4710s
    • Better build quality than previous generation
  • Cons

    • Not easy to upgrade
    • One hotspot on the bottom

Quick Take

If you are in the market for a 17-inch business notebook, the HP ProBook 4720s is worth considering.
