The 14-inch Dell Alienware gaming notebook comes equipped with your choice between three different Intel Core i7 quad-core processors, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM at 1600MHz, and either the 3072MB NVIDIA GeForce GT555M or the 1536MB NVIDIA GeForce GT555M graphics cards. The available display resolutions are 1600×900 and 1366×768. Notable ports include the two USB 3.0 (one USB 2.0), 9-in-1 Media Card Reader and HDMI 1.4. Choose from Windows 7 Professional, Ultimate, or Premium (all 64-bit). Hard drive options include 750GB SATA hard drive at 7200RPM or 256GB SSD.

Quick Take

The Alienware M14x is indeed "the most powerful 14-inch laptop in the universe" but that doesn't mean much when you can get a much better 15-inch or 17-inch gaming laptop for the same price (and roughly the same weight).
