Editors ChoiceThe HP ZBook 15 G2 is the most recommendable 15.6” mobile workstation we’ve tested. Its excellent performance in professional applications is well matched with its outstanding build quality, good keyboard and touchpad and arsenal of ports including true docking station support. The QHD+ IPS display on our review unit has very good image quality and plenty of working space thanks to its high 3200×1800 resolution.

Our most significant complaint with this model is its lower than expected battery life; it would have likely lasted longer if not for the fact Nvidia’s Optimus battery saving technology is disabled when the ZBook 15 G2 is configured with the QHD+ display.

The Zbook 15 G2 has a $1,699 entry price and our nearly maxed-out review unit topped $2,999. Taking into account the standard three-year warranty with onsite service and the top-notch engineering, the price is fair if just – few 15.6” notebooks cost more but then again, few 15.6” notebooks can match the quality and power of this one.

We’re overall pleased to recognize the HP ZBook 15 G2 with our Editor’s Choice award for being a great mobile workstation.

The HP ZBook 15 G2 might look a bit boring but it delivers real quality.

Hello, I own this workstation, after having run a deep search I still wonder what is that expansion port/slo available you may see in the photo taken internally I’ve highlighted: http://i.imgur.com/L0jSpl9.jpg thank you.
