The picture above shows a shot of the keyboard and touch pad. I’d rate the keyboard average for laptops in general. It has a decent feel to it when typing and the keys are easy enough to find. The touch pad has proven to be accurate and smooth. A plus to the touch pad is that it comes with a “Scroll wheel” button, which comes in handy, especially when browsing the Internet!
This side view shows the Super Multi DVD Burner, and also the security lock slot. The DVD burner can be removed and replaced with either the weight saver insert (saves a few tenths of a lb), or a modular battery which almost doubles your battery life! The security lock slot can be used to secure your laptop to a table or bench while you are away from it to prevent the occurrence of theft.
The other side of the laptop includes from left to right: Headphone jack, Microphone jack…various heat exhaust ducts…PC card slot.
This rear shot of the laptop shows in order from left to right: the RJ11 connector for the 56k modem, a USB port, AC Adapter socket, Wireless on/off switch, S-video out, RJ45 Ethernet adapter, Fire wire port, and two more additional USB ports.
The front shot shows the Secure Digital/Memory stick slot.
