The Eurocom Sky X9 excels on almost every single front. It’s powerful, with a wide array of spec options to choose from including desktop-grade graphics. The screen is excellent with great color reproduction and a flexible viewing angles. The keyboard offers keyboard has great travel and feedback albeit it can be difficult to reach at times. The machine looks and feels great with solid durability, though some users may not find it accessible that the build utilizes plastic at this premium price point.
Truthfully the biggest issue for the Eurocom Sky X9 is the AVADirect Avant P870DM-G. The device offers the same clevo chassis with comparable specs and performance (though our build of the Sky X9 did manage to eek out a few advantages here and there), but the AVADirect notebook offers a substantially lower starting price at $1,879.
The Eurocom Sky X9 is still an excellent machine and certainly worth at least being in the conversation, but the notebook falls just short of receiving our editor’s choice award due to the steep starting price point.
- Plastic build
- Keyboard is located towards the back of the chassis
