Editors ChoiceThe Eurocom M5 Pro made quite a name for itself with almost no downsides other than its pricey configuration. We gave it high marks for its quality construction, pleasing design, productive keyboard and touchpad, excellent gaming performance, and effective cooling system. The 4K display on our review unit has good picture quality though the resolution is too high to play most modern games.

As of writing the M5 Pro in its base configuration is a good value. We recommend the 256 GB M.2 SSD and 1 TB secondary hard drive setup in our review unit though would probably have stuck with 16 GB of RAM since it’s enough for just about everything. Gamers will be happy with the standard Nvidia GTX 970M graphics card but happier with the upgraded GTX 980M especially for future games.

We’re pleased to extend our Editors’ Choice Award to the Eurocom M5 Pro for demonstrating all around excellence in a 15.6” gaming platform.

Eurocom M5 (1)Pros:

  • Very good overall quality
  • Excellent gaming performance
  • Effective cooling system
  • Good keyboard and touchpad
  • Plentiful port selection

  • 4K resolution too high to play most games
  • Pricey when optioned out
