The mix of high performance and portability make the Aorus X7v2 one of the most attractive slim gaming notebooks on the market. Equipped with SLI-enabled dual Nvidia GeForce 860M GPUs the laptop offers graphical performance on par with any laptop on the market. The device also features a lightning fast processors, ample RAM and storage options, and best of all it crams all of that into a manageable 6.6 pound frame.

The smaller chassis does tend to heat up a bit more than the larger desktop replacements and key travel is shallower than most competing notebooks. Currently list at $2,300 the Aorus X7v2 is also more expensive than most competing laptops as well.

Users looking for the best bang for their buck may want to consider the MSI GT70 Dominator. While those that want the highest quality desktop replacement may want to look into the Alienware 18. However, users that want a high performance gaming laptop that is also easy to transport will find that Aorus X7v2 can’t be beat.
