Xerox Beefs Up its WorkCentre 7500 MFP Series

Xerox Corp. added three new color MFPs, the WorkCentre 7525, 7530 and 7535, to the existing line of WorkCentre 7500 Series products.

Like the WorkCentre 7545 and WorkCentre 7556 announced in the fall, the new LED devices include copy, email, fax, print and scan capabilities and optional functions such as walkup fax. Other features of the WorkCentre 7500 Series include: built-in optical character recognition (OCR) software and searchable PDF capabilities, hard disk overwrite and encryption and a full set of scanning functions. The devices are engineered with a color touchscreen interface for ease of use.

The WorkCentre 7525, 7530 and 7535 offer both color and black & white copy/print speeds of up to 25 pages per minute (ppm), 30ppm and 35ppm, respectively, with resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi.

The devices also offer a print processor of 1.5Ghz, standard print memory of 3GB, and hard drive capacity of 160GB. Connectivity options across the series include 10/100/1000 BaseT Ethernet, High-Speed USB 2.0 (via third party: wireless Ethernet 802.11b.)

Other standard features include a print-from and scan-to USB port, hard disk overwrite and 256 bit encryption, scan-to-email, mailbox and network, earth smart print setting and true Adobe PostScript, PCL and XPS.

The new WorkCentre MFP products are available in North America through Xerox direct sales, authorized sales agents and Global Imaging Systems. The U.S. list price starts at $11,998.
