High-performance 2.5-inch SATA hard drives called ‘Scorpio Black’ are now available for OEM notebooks and portable storage devices from Western Digital.
Claiming to be one of the fastest hard drives currently available, they have a 16 MB cache and 7200 RPM-spin speed. They are being sold in storage capacities of up to 750 GB.
The hard drives use Advanced Format (AF) technology and utilize a system of protection via features by monitoring the data when stored.
The hard drives have been cross-tested across platforms to ensure successful upgrading of systems. They are covered by a five-year limited warranty.
