Staples Advantage, the business-to-business division of Staples, Inc., is launching the Staples Technology Solutions Managed Print Services (MPS), a program designed to help businesses better understand their annual printing costs and how to save money and improve productivity of their IT staff.
The program utilizes Staples MPS consultants to engage with a company to assess its printing costs, analyze hardware, maintenance, staff resources and consumables such as ink, toner and paper, as well as evaluate the businesses printing requirements, printing habits and assess how existing equipment is being used.
After information gathering and analysis, Staples MPS consultants put together a roadmap to help organizations optimize their print environment and meet business goals.
Getting a handle on a company’s printing needs and expenditures is especially critical as businesses of all sizes trying to contain costs and improve efficiency during lean economic times.
According to Staples Advantage, the Technology Solutions MPS program will drive additional benefits such as:
- A brand-neutral solution that works with a company’s existing fleet
- Assistance reaching sustainability goals through office printing guidelines
- Reduced time spent on print fleet maintenance and support
- Automated supply replenishment
- A singe, predictable monthly bill
- Ongoing account management of a company’s print strategy
In conjunction with the new MPS program, Staples Technology Solution is kicking off an initiative called PrintStart, to give small businesses and start-ups the opportunity to receive gently used equipment donated by participating MPS customers.
Under PrintStart, local Staples Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) offices located across the country will help identify organizations to receive working printers, print supplies and other materials.
