While the Google-powered televisions and Blu-ray player weren’t supposed to be available for a little while, yet, it seems that interested customers can walk into Best Buy today (or go online) and trade their cold, hard cash for clean Google goodness.
Sony just held an event last week where we got some hands-on time with the new products – and they’re impressive. The most interesting product, however, is easily the standalone Blu-ray player – it too comes with one of Sony’s crazily intricate remote controls…but more importantly, it can be attached to any pre-existing display.
The question remains whether Sony’s $400 Blu-ray player can succeed over the $300 Logitech Revue – the optical format, after all, isn’t dead just yet.
For those so inclined, here’s a list of the prices Best Buy is charging:
|Product||Model Number||Screen Size||Price (US)|
|Google TV||NSX24GT1||24 inches||$599|
|Google TV||NSX32GT1||32 inches||$799|
|Google TV||NSX40GT1||40 inches||$999|
|Google TV||NSX26GT1||46 inches||$1399|
