Don’t understand what that means? Well, users will bring up the Sculpteo App on their device and then take a photograph of a friend or themselves. The outline of this image is then converted into a 3D image in the shape of an object of your choosing – think vase, plate, mug, bowl, etc. – made from Sculpteo 3D printing materials.
Users can edit the design of their object by changing the size, dimensions, color and/or material then calculate the price of the object via Sculpteo.com.
The Sculpteo 3D Printing App is a free download available in the App Store (sorry, non Apple users). Check back soon to see our live coverage of the Sculpteo Booth at CES 2012.
And make sure to check out our CES 2012 tech page where we cover everything and anything coming out of Las Vegas this week!
