Sculpteo Jumps on the Apple iPhone 5 Bandwagon

The buzz around the iPhone 5 has gotten so big, it’s jumped into the printer market!  That’s right, Sculpteo, a 3D printing service and 3D cloud engine company we first heard about at CES, has introduced the 3DPCase app, a customizable 3D printed iPhone 5 case app, a day before (many believe) Apple will announce the long awaited iPhone 5.

Available in the Apple iTunes store, the free 3DPCase app allows users to choose and customize a unique iPhone case with a range of parameters such as profile, localization or a personalized pattern.

The 3DP Case app is the first to enable users to customize 3D printed iPhone cases directly from an iPhone, according to Sculpteo.  Customized designs ordered before the launch will be adapted to the precise iPhone layout once Apple has released the precise specifications.

Users can choose existing case designs and customize them with print, textures and patterns or choose a case DIY kit that allows users to add the finishing touches at home.  All users will receive notification if their design requires any radical changes in the shape prior to printing and delivery. Sculpteo guarantees that customized designs fit the iPhone 5 perfectly.

The iPhone 5 case pricing starts at $19.95 and delivery time is estimated at four days for worldwide deliveries and two days throughout Europe (Sculpteo is based in France).

The 3DPCase app by Sculpteo can be found at the Apple iTunes Store.  Check out more iPhone 5 coverage at our sister site, Brighthand.com!
