Samsung Intros NF-series Netbooks, SF-series Notebooks
Samsung has introduced two new model lines: the NF series netbooks and the SF series notebooks. One of their key features is a “shark”-like streamlined design. The case is constructed to be durable and scratch resistant.
There are three notebooks in the SF series: the 13.3-inch SF310, 14.0-inch SF410, and 15.6-inch SF510. They have a glossy ivory-covered exterior, matte black interior, and island-style keyboard. Specifications include Intel Core i3/i5 dual-core processors, a hybrid graphics system utilizing both the Intel integrated graphics and a dedicated Nvidia card, and a 61Wh li-poly battery for up to 7.5 hours of life.
The NF510 will be available soon exclusively at Best Buy for $749 including a Core i3 processor and 500GB hard drive. Pricing information was not released for the other models.
There are three netbook models in the NF-series lineup: The NF310, NF210, and NF110. Key design features include the new Intel Atom N550 dual-core processor, a 10.1-inch display, DDR3 RAM, and Windows 7. The NF210 has a 1024×600 resolution, 250GB hard drive, 1GB RAM (2GB max.), and Windows 7 Starter. Samsung claims a 14-hour battery life with its 6-cell, 8850mAh battery.
The NF310 sports a higher 1366×768 resolution screen. Samsung claims over ten hours of battery life. The NF310 will have an MSRP of $399. Lastly, the NF110 will be the lowest-priced option; no other specifications or pricing were revealed.
