by Reads (1,566)

Just as inkjets are predominately found in homes, laser and LED printers can be found in home offices and small, medium and large businesses.

What makes laser and LED printers so attractive to business owners? Many things, including: low cost of ownership, fast print speeds, reliable quality documents, standard networking, large monthly duty cycles, the list goes on and on. While the holiday season usually finds businesses cutting back, we’ve included several low cost laser and LED printers in our list for even the tightest of office budgets.

The P2035n does everything its supposed to do well; fast print speeds, bold text, simple operation and takes up little space. $300 – $600

Lexmark E360dn

The Lexmark E360dn was the first Lexmark laser printer I’ve reviewed and I was very impressed. It offers great features, fast print speeds, and good print quality for a decent price. And while a monochrome single function laser printer may not have a home in every office, the E360dn is an excellent option for those who prefer a less complicated machine.

Xerox Phaser 6140

Xerox’s latest addition to its Phaser line is a cool single function color laser printer. As we were oneof the lucky few who received a review unit not long after the release, we can tell you with ease that the Phaser 6140 prints quality black and white AND color documents quickly and efficiently. It’s compact design and ease of use will fit perfectly with any small workgroup.

Xerox WorkCentre 3220DN

The second Xerox product on our list is also the first Xerox product to win’s Editor Choice award. The multifunction WorkCentre 3220DN would be a great addition to any office delivering four different functionalities, good print speeds, excellent print quality, and great features such as fast automatic duplexing, front side USB port and a variety of Scan-to and fax-to options. Plus, it’s only $499. That’s a deal in the world of laser printing.

HP LaserJet CM2320nf

The HP LaserJet CM2320nf multifunction printer is targeted at small and medium businesses because of the compact design, quick print speeds, 40,000 quality black and color pages a month, and four useful devices. That’s naming just a few; the CM2320nf can do plenty to help an office achieve greater efficiency. The HP LaserJet CM2320nf is available for $549.99.

Canon imageCLASS MF8350Cdn

The Canon imageCLASS MF8350Cdn is a functional, reliable color laser printer with good print speeds, a great energy saver mode, and diverse features. This multifunction printer may not be a great fit for most home offices considering the $699 price tag and large size but it could be the perfect option for a medium to large size business.

HP LaserJet CM3530

The HP LaserJet CM3530 MFP is a 3-in-1 color laser device with print, scan and copy capabilites, print speeds up to 31 ppm, two paper trays with a 350 sheet capacity standard, and several great features. With the steep price tag of $2,499; the CM3530 will probably only find its way into medium sized businesses but HP does offer affordable monthly pricing plans.
