Origin PC announced that its high-end EON gaming laptops will be shipping with the latest mobile Ivy Bridge processors and Nvidia Mobile Graphics Cards. These improved processors and graphics cards are aimed to improve user’s mobile gameplay experience, especially in terms of 3D gaming.

The Intel Core i7-3940XM, with 3GHz frequency and 8MB of L3 cache, will now be the standard option on the EON gaming laptops. The new Intel Core Processor will improve capabilities for 3D graphics as well as 3D gameplay, allowing for smoother and higher quality graphics. In addition to markedly improved 3D performance during gameplay, it will also support hyper threading, allowing one processor to work as two for faster performance and multitasking. Another feature that aims to optimize the performance of 3D graphics is Ray Tracing, which will now be supported on the Origin PC EON laptops. Buyers also have the option to upgrade to an Intel Core i7 3840QM or an Intel Core i7 3740QM, which will range in 2.7-2.8 GHz in frequency and can have from 6MB to 8MB of L3 cache.

In addition to announcing their updated processors, Origin PC will be shipping their EON gaming laptops with the latest in graphic cards from NVIDIA. Video cards will now include the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670MX, and its Kepler based mobile quadro card the NVIDIA Quadro K3000M.

The GeForce GTX 675MX and GeForce GTX 670MX feature 960 NVIDIA CUDA Cores with 4GB and 3GB of GDDR5 graphics memory available, respectively. These graphics card features will further improve the speed and performance of the EON laptops. The new GeForce graphics cards will be PhysX capable with FXAA and TXAA support, offering smoother graphic performance during gameplay. NVIDIA Optimus support will also be featured on the GeForce graphics card; this will optimize the performance of the EON laptops, which can also preserve battery.

The final addition to the new graphics card line up is the NVIDIA Quadro K3000M, which will feature 576 NVIDIA CUDA Parallel Processor Cores with 2GB of GDDR5 graphics memory. Quadro K3000M will support Full-Scene Antialiasing (FSAA) for up to 64X FSAA; this will optimize graphics during gameplay, keeping them smooth while maintaining high quality. Also included in the Quadro K3000M graphics card is GigaThread technology which allows for faster multitasking and faster performance.

Origin PC’s newest additions to their EON gaming laptops are available now, and promise a better mobile gaming experience with 3D graphics as well as 2D graphics. The Intel Core Processors and NVIDIA graphics cards are top of the line, keeping with the EON series’ high-end gaming features.
