New Microline 600 Series from OkiData

Oki Data Americas, which markets its products under the Oki Printing Solutions brand, introduced two SIDM printers in its ML600 Series, the dual 9-pin ML620/621 and the 24-pin ML690/691. The devices are designed for business users who need fast, high-volume and versatile printing.

In particular, the ML 600 series printers target users with the most demanding business environments; point-of-sale, automation and utility applications such as wholesale or retail sales counters, financial departments, manufacturing and warehousing who require output for letter-quality correspondence and high-resolution graphics, or multi-part forms.

The ML600 Series offers print speeds up to 700 cps, long ribbon life, USB and parallel connectivity, crisp and clear printing on letterhead or up to 7-part forms, 128 kb receive buffer/memory, Energy Star compliance with options such as internal Ethernet and serial connectivity, frontrear tractors, top pull tractor, cut sheet feeder, and roll paper stand, according to the manufacturer.

Other device performance features include a meantime between failure (MTBF) rating of 25,000 hours. Maximum graphics resolution (dpi) is 288 x 72 for both ML 620/621 and 360 x 360 for the ML 690/691.
