It looks like the rumors may just be right. The internet is abuzz every which way you look that Apple is going to launch a refreshed line of desktop computers, and very soon.

Let’s start off with the Mini: rumors have been circulating for weeks, now, and it turns out that they could be right after all. Dual mini-DVI/mini-DisplayPort, five rear USB2.0 ports and potentially an NVIDIA chipset, like the rest of Apple’s new line. Two configurations may be offered, with one offering a 2 GHz Core2Duo and the higher-end offering something better.
Apple’s iMac, the world’s most famous all-in-one computer, will still come in multiple sizes: 20 and 24 inches. The two will straddle four different market segments from low to high ends.
The Mac Pro, Apple’s typically over the top powerful workstations, will come in eight and sixteen core configurations, in speeds from 3 to 4 GHz. The 16 core rumor is a bit intriguing, as it’s curious what Apple would be using in that machine.
We don’t know when Apple will launch the new machines, with some saying as early as tomorrow. It’s also been said that the Cupertino giant is going to be hosting a March 24th event, though, so who knows? All we can say to Apple is that it’s about time.
