Myka rolled out an update to their home theater products this week with an ION-powered version of their pre-existing media player line. The new box comes with an Intel Atom 330 (the dual-core Atom variant) paired with NVIDIA’s GeForce 9400M graphics subsystem. Myka is pushing the fact that while the systems are fully-fledged computers, their pre-installed software lets users access media-centric applications like Boxee, XBMC, Hulu, Netflix and more.
Myka expects their ION-based systems to start rolling out by Christmas, and users will end up paying $379 for the honor. While $400 is a bit pricey considering the performance of the components, it’s about par for the course for ION-based nettops.
