MSI Wind Top AE2070 Adds USB 3.0 to Wind Top Lineup

MSI might be as bad as Lenovo about introducing as many new all-in-one models as they can…and that’s a good thing! The new Wind Top AE2070 manages to pack a lot of punch into a pretty small form factor, making it a good choice for users who don’t have a lot of space to spare on bigger all-in-one options.

In addition to a tweaked design, this fourth-generation all-in-one from MSI runs their all new Wind Touch 4 user interface, a set of customizations that make Windows easier to use with just your fingers. One fun aspect of the new UI is the desktop background customizations – while live on the Internet, background changes to reflect the specific weather and time of day wherever the computer is located. Processor options include Intel’s Pentium Dual-core and Core i3 CPUs, going all the way up to 3.1GHz. Intel’s integrated graphics can also be upgraded to an NVIDIA GeForce GT540M GPU.

Next to all that silicon is USB 3.0, which until recently has only been available on premium models from manufacturers. A pair of 3W stereo speakers, DVD+/-RW drive, 500GB HDD, 2GB of DDR3 RAM (standard, 8GB max) and a 6-in-1 card reader round out the specs. There’s no word from MSI yet with regards pricing for the Wind Top AE2070, but the company is generally pretty reasonable in this arena – which makes the AE2070 a desktop to watch out for.
