SkyDrive LogoOn Monday, Microsoft announced that it will be changing the name of its SkyDrive content storage and sharing service to “OneDrive” following a copyright dispute over the SkyDrive name.

According to Microsoft’s OneDrive.com blog, OneDrive will be the “One place for all of your photos and videos. One place for all of your documents. One place that is seamlessly connected across all the devices you use.”

SkyDrive and SkyDrive Pro will continue to operate as users expect while the name is instituted, and all content will remain accessible throughout the process.

Users should expect OneDrive to be available soon. You can get more information or sign up at OneDrive’s website.
