Microsoft Pushing Windows 7 64-bit Compatibility
Microsoft today announced the Windows 7 logo program, which is designed to help customers make better buying decisions. The “Compatible with Windows 7” program is designed for products purchased after users buy a computer to ensure them it is compatible. The logo process has changed for Windows 7. The program now includes more rigorous testing requirements, and most notably, in order for a product to carry the “Compatible with Windows 7” logo, products must be tested to work with all versions of 7 including 64-bit.
Over 6,000 products already have Windows 7 certification, and Microsoft made it less expensive for vendors to get the certification.
