Fuji Xerox will target the new printer at technical and production graphics applications. Memjet printing technology is used by manufacturers looking for speed, performance and affordability for short-run and variable data color printing in a variety of markets and applications.
Memjet is considered a leader in color printing technologies whose components are sold to OEM partners across the printing industry, worldwide. Fuji Xerox is one of half-a-dozen vendors announcing new printer and printer-related products as a result of a recent partnership with Memjet. The announcements were made at the recent @ drupa 2012 tradeshow in Germany.
According to InfoTrends, Fuji Xerox is Memjet’s biggest partner to date and shows considerable strength in some of the world’s emerging markets where wide format printer shipments are expected to grow at a faster pace than in more mature markets.
The Fuji Xerox wide-format printer also uses the Caldera RIP platform to enable data processing to handle the high speed and resolution.
