Amidst rumors of low sales and will-he-won’t-she-cancel the product entirely, Logitech has knocked a whopping $100 off the price of their Google TV-powered Logitech Revue smart TV box, bringing it down to $199.
Pamela McCracken, Director of Public Relations at Google, shows off a few features of the
Revue – their first product using the new Google TV software.
Logitech announced recently that the Revue would be cut to $249, a savings of $50 over the introductory $299 MSRP, but the company’s disappointing fourth quarter revenue likely encouraged them to take a more drastic step. Simultaneously, they promised to accelerate their marketing efforts and double-down on the Revue, suggesting that they still have faith in the product.
Although some time has passed since Logitech originally introduced the Revue, not many companies have stepped in to take advantage of the software Google provides.
