Lian-Li is no stranger to PC enthusiasts; they’re well known as a maker of computer cases at several price points. One place they excel, however, is at the moderately high-end; as the new PC-V600 shows, high-end doesn’t have to mean low class.
Weighing in at 11 pounds of thick aluminum for an empty case, the PC-V600 offers two external 5.25-inch drive bays and comes in three colors: silver, red and black. There are also a whopping five hot-swappable 3.5-inch drive bays with SATA hook-ins as well as two more slots for 2.5-inch models.
The new case is designed to fit Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX boards, and each comes with two front-facing USB 3.0 ports, one e-SATA and one HD Audio. There are four expansion bays, and you’ll be able to slot in any graphics card that’s 14.6 inches or smaller. The case does not come with a rear fan, but it does have two 120mm fans in the front (with LEDs) as well as one 120mm fan on top.
Lian Li designed the case to stop excess vibrations; typical of Lian Li designs, it also doesn’t require much if anything in the way of tools to get inside and start poking around. The PC-V600 is available soon with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $225.
