LG Electronics announced it will unveil its second generation Tab-Book 2 hybrid (Models 11T740 and 11T540) at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, running from January 7 through the January 10, 2014.
The new LG Tab-Book 2 features a slimmer and lighter design with an IPS display with 10-point touch control. This hybrid tablet/notebook runs Windows 8.1 and delivers a slide-out QWERTY keyboard under the 11.6-inch touchscreen.
The flagship model 11T740 Tab-Book 2 is 16.7mm thin and weighs only 1.05kg (about 2.25 pounds here in the United States). The big selling feature to this hybrid is the 11.6-inch Full HD IPS display with a maximum brightness of 400nit lumens for easy viewing outdoors. The model 11T740 Tab-Book 2 uses a fourth generation Intel Core i5 processor to deliver outstanding performance while the 11T540 Tab-Book 2, is even lighter at only 930g with a thickness of just 13.7mm.
In addition, LG also announced the LG Ultra PC model 13Z940 which weighs less than 1kg. This slim ultrabook should deliver exceptional battery life with quick and convenient access to your files thanks to a Haswell Intel Core i5 processor and a solid-state drive with either 128GB or 256GB capacity.
The 13Z940 Ultra PC has a Full HD 13.3-inch IPS display that incorporates the company?s Super Narrow Bezel that measures just 4.4mm thin. The LG Ultra PC is only 13.6mm at its thickest point and weighs in at a very travel-friendly 980g. The Ultra PC features Reader Mode, allowing the user to alter the background of any onscreen image to resemble paper, reducing eye-strain and energy consumption.
Last, but not least, LG announced a 27-inch AIO desktop PC with Full HD IPS display that runs the Windows 8.1 operating system. Designed to fuction as a home TV, monitor or personal computer, users can switch the LG AIO PC from computer to TV mode using the included remote without having to reboot the PC. This all-in-one desktop features an Intel Core CPU and NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M graphics card. It also features a picture-in-picture (PIP) mode that allows you to watch TV and browse the internet simultaneously. The AIO PC is equipped with an HDMI jack to connect to a Blu-ray player, sound bar or other HD home entertainment components.
