Lexmark Reveals MFPs with an Edge

Lexmark unveiled the OfficeEdge Series, a new lineup of all-in-one inkjets targeted at increasing efforts and lowering costs for small workgroups across the business spectrum by offering laser-quality color printing for 50 percent less.

The OfficeEdge Series will initially feature two devices, the OfficeEdge Pro5500 and the OfficeEdge Pro4000, and both color MFPs support PCL and PostScript with the lexmark Universal Print Driver, an Embedded Web Server and Markvision Enterprice.

The OfficeEdge Pro5500 is the flagship model of the new series will offer print, scan, copy and fax functionality as well as print speeds up to 21 ppm in black and 14 ppm in color, a duplex 50-sheet ADF, front loading Vizix Pro pigment ink system, a 4.3-inch color touch screen with SmartSolutions, front side USB port, 350-sheet paper cassette and built-in networking with wireless capability.

The 4-in-1 OfficeEdge Pro4000 may be a step down in price but still comes with plenty of business centric features including print speeds up to 21 ppm in black and 14 ppm in color, 2.4-inch LCD, memory card reader with USB port, automatic duplexing, 50-sheet ADF, front loading Vizix Pro pigment ink system, 350-sheet paper cassette and built-in networking with wireless connectivity.

The OfficeEdge Pro5500 and OfficeEdge Pro4000 are expected to be available in Q1 for the suggested retail price of $399.99 and $249.99, respectively.  Each unit can be upgraded to include an additional 500-sheet paper cassette bring the total paper capacity up to 850 sheets and includes a 1-year warranty standard.
