Lexmark International Inc. was cited as a leader in a new report on managed print services from Forrester Research.
The report – The Forrester Wave: Managed Print Services, Q2 2012 – released on May 10th, is based on Forrester’s 16-criteria evaluation of seven MPS vendors. The report looked at current offerings, strategy, and market presence of Xerox, Hewlett-Packard, lexmark International, Ricoh, Canon USA, Pitney Bowes, and Toshiba America Business Solutions.
Lexmark received the highest score possible for its strategy, MPS market experience, technology and solution ownership, integration with business processes, mobile printing and global delivery, according to the vendor.
According to the Forrester Wave report, lexmark was cited as being able to combine strong global support with strong, balanced capabilities and also as a company that understands customer needs and tailors solutions accordingly.
It also noted that Lexmark’s recent acquisitions of Perceptive and Pallas will help the company continue its focus on point-of-service (PoS) applications for key verticals such as retail, pharmacy, financial services and healthcare, as well as build an independent enterprise content management (ECM) and business process management (BPM) capability.
The recent wave report, from Craig Le Clair, vice president, principal analyst serving business process professionals at Forrester, addresses MPS that are designed to help businesses streamline the management of printing and optimize costs, while also offering productivity enhancements and reducing energy consumption.
