Lexmark International and Box.net, a cloud content management company, introduced Box.net SmartSolution for Lexmark’s Web-connected All-in-One (AIO) inkjet printers, marking Lexmark’s first foray into the cloud.

With Scan to Box users can upload and store important documents directly from a Web-connected printer to their Box.net account in a matter of seconds, without turning on their computer. The SmartSolution enables: easy uploading of documents for business collaboration; scanning and uploading of business receipts and documents for safe storage; and, seamless uploading and transfer of information to business associates.
In an era of increasingly on-the-go data access from a slew of mobile devices, Scan to Box allows users to store data in the cloud facilitating data sharing and collaboration from anywhere at anytime. Users can even set up multiple Scan to Box solutions.
