Lexar Media today released the fastest solid state drives Lexar has to offer, supporting SATA 6GB/s; advertising read speeds of up to 415MB/s and write speeds up to 260MB/s. The new Crucial m4 SSDs each come in 2.5″ form factors with 25-nanometer NAND flash, and are available in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB space capacities.

The 512GB and 256GB Crucial SSDs can both reach write speeds up to 260MB/s and 128GB and 64GB reach 175MB/s and 95MB/s, respectively. The fastest read speed is boasted to be a 17 percent increase by Lexar when compared to its last generation SSD, the Crucial RealSSD C300. Write speeds on the 512GB drives are noted to be 20 percent quicker than the C300. Random 4K read for the two highest capacities reach 50K IOPS.

Lexar also guarantees compatibility of the new generation with most notebooks and exhibits that they resist shock, vibrations, and have a low power consumption and latency like most SSDs. Each solid state drive has a 3-year limited warranty.
