LenovoEMC Announces High Performance Server Class Desktop the pX4-400d

LenovoEMC Px4-400dOn Sunday LenovoEMC announced the new px4-400d Network Storage, a high powered four-bay desktop NAS. The new desktop boasts advanace data protection plus local and remote content sharing via LenovoEMC’s LifeLine operating system.

The px4-400d features a hot swap 7200rpm SATA-III Server Class drivers in a compact form factor with upwards of a 16TB of storage (4x4TB) and up to 25% higher data read and write performance than the previous generation.

The LenovoEMC px4-400d is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux devices. Powered by LifeLine operating systems the device offesr a number of advanced business features including built-in Cloud technology, versatile remote access, virtualization, data replication, device-to-device copy jobs, advanced RAID support, solid state drive support and more. The device also incorporates a number of hardware features including HDMI, eSATA and USB 3.0 ports.

Additionally, in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific, the new LenovoEMC px4-400d is also available in a Pro Series, which utilizes economical standard HDDs. The diskless version the new LenovoEMC px4-400d is available worldwide. The user interface for the LenovoEMC px4-400d is localized for 18 languages. Out of the box the device offers certifications including Windows Server 2008 R@ and Windows Server 2012 R2, VMware vSphere ESX5.5 iSCSI and NAS, XenServer 6.1, 6.2 (w/ MPIO), iSCSI & NFS.

The new LenovoEMC px4-400d Network Storage is now available worldwide with pricing for the starts at $730 for the diskless model. Both the Server Class Series and Pro Series utilizing standard HDDs are available fully populated with either 1TB, 2TB, 3TB or 4TB HDDs.
