LaCie announced the Sphere and Little Big Disk Thunderbolt external storage drives at CES 2014 in Las, Vegas. Both storage drives were announced alongside the new LaCie Fuel, an AirPlay compatible storage drive for Apple devices.
The Sphere is a 1TB hard drive handcrafted in France by designer Christofle, complete with silver-plated steel. It features a spherical design that will blend into any high-end home or office setting.
The Little Big Disk Thunderbolt 2 is a portable storage drive that offers high speed file transfers via its USB 3.0 port. It is intended for videographers by allowing for easy streaming and editing of both 4K and 3D video while on the go. LaCie advertises speeds of “up to ten times faster than any mobile USB 3.0 hard drive,” according to a press release from the company.
