Kyocera Mita America recently introduced two black and white Multifunction Printers, the FS-3140 and FS-3040, additions to its Ecosys line of environmentally friendly products.

The Kyocera Mita FS-3140MFP and FS-3040MFP are designed to offer cost savings to small office environments by combining print, copy and color scan on the FS-3040MFP, with the addition of fax capability on the FS-3140MFP.

Additionally, the two new devices with their desktop footprint meet Energy Star guidelines for power efficiency and utilize long-life consumables for high-quality image output and low total cost of ownership, according to the company.

The FS-3140MFP and FS-3040MFP are part of Kyocera Mita’s MFP printer line-up offering only letter and legal size paper options. Additional standard product features intended to improve office productivity are flexible paper handling, standard paper-saving duplex and quality image performance.

The FS-3140MFP and FS-3040MFP offer a maximum 2,100 sheet paper capacity from up to five paper sources for high-volume output requirements. The devices also feature one standard 500-sheet drawer capable of handling paper sizes from statement to legal, and weights ranging from 16-28lb bond. A standard 100-sheet multi-purpose tray accommodates various media types including bond and recycled paper, transparencies, cardstock and envelopes.

Designed for use as workgroup or network printers for departments and organizations, standard network printing includes a PowerPC440/667 MHz processor and 1200dpi print resolution. The FS-3140 MFP and FS-3040MFP support multiple page description languages, including Kyocera’s Prescribe, PCL6 (5e, XL), KPDL3 (PS3 compatible), and XPS, and can be connected in any Windows, Mac or Linux environment.

The Kyocera Mita FS-3140MFP and FS-3040MFP are currently available through authorized Kyocera Mita dealers at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $2979 and $2649, respectively.
