Konica Minolta Business Technologies Inc. announced the availability of PageScope Mobile for Android, an application that allows Android devices to connect wirelessly to the company’s bizhub MFPs.

The announcement follows on the vendor’s announcement last year regarding the availability of PageScope for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

The free app connects Android devices to Konica Minolta bizhub MFPS to wirelessly print documents, e-mails and web pages. Users can also initiate a bizhub scan job from a mobile device to save and print documents and pictures.

The application can also be used to establish a secure printing environment by using the bizhub authentication system, for user authentication and account tracking.

PageScope Mobile for Android can be connected with external cloud services such as Evernote or Google Docs allowing users to download stored data from the cloud service to the mobile device for printing on a bizhub device.

Bizhub devices compatible with PageScope Mobile for Android include color MFP models: bizhub C754/C654, bizhub C652DS/C552DS, bizhub C652/C552/C452, bizhub C650/C550/C451
