Kodak Jumps on Cloud with New HERO AIOs

Kodak has followed in the footsteps of competitor HP with the introduction of a new series of all-in-one printers that will now be able to access the cloud via Google Cloud Print and Kodak Email Print.

The HERO AIOs allow users to access Google Cloud Print and Kodak Email Print for easy prints out from any location. But the good news for current Kodak customers is you don’t have to go out and purchase a new printer if you want to access these same features. Previous Kodak all-in-ones (with WI-FI connectivity) will be able to use Google Cloud Print and Kodak Email print as well.

Google Cloud Print enables printing from any app, on any device to any Kodak all-in-one without the need for a “middle man” (aka a PC).

Kodak Email Print allows users to send email and attachments to their Kodak all-in-one from any location using any email account by using that printer’s unique email address. And like HP’s ePrint technology, by sharing the printer’s unique email address, other users can print to the same Kodak all-in-one.

The new HERO AIO lineup consists of four “home” printers – the HERO 3.1, HERO 5.1, HERO 7.1 and HERO 9.1 – as well as one “office” printer, the Office HERO 6.1.  Read more about them in our follow up story!
