BUILD AND DESIGN
Take one look at the ESP 5250 and you’ll know it’s a Kodak thanks to the trademark yellow and black design and small Kodak logo on top of the printer. For an all-in-one, the ESP 5250 is fairly compact with the dimensions of 17 x 12 x 7 inches. Users will need to take into account the additional space needed for lifting the scanner lid and extending the output tray.
The 24-bit optical flatbed scanner offers a 1200 dpi resolution while scanning photos and documents up to 8.5 x 11.7 inches. Kodak also offers multi-scan software allowing users to scan multiple photos in one pass but separating the images into single files on a PC.
The control panel with adjustable 2.4 inch color LCD is located to the right of the scanner. The control panel consists of several quick keys and a four directional arrow pad for navigating the LCD.
Below the control panel is the built-in memory card reader. The reader is compatible with the following media: SD, SDHC, MMC, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, and Mini SD.
Access the inside of the machine by lifting up the midsection of the ESP 5250. Here users install the set of two Kodak Series 10 ink cartridges including: a 5-color pigment based ink cartridge and a single black ink cartridge
The front panel opens to reveal the 100-sheet main tray with adjustable paper clasp for media sized from 4 x 6 inches to 8.5 x 14 inches. The main tray can also hold up to 20 sheets of photo paper with the same maximum paper size.
On the back of the ESP 5250, users will find the connection ports including the external USB for those who for go wireless connectivity.
