Kensington today announced its upcoming wireless trackball and an update to the accompanying Trackballworks software. The Orbit trackball features a centered-ball red and black design, 2.4GHz wireless technology with a nano receiver, and is ambidextrous. The software, which allows users to customize their Trackball’s buttons and functions, can be downloaded from Kensington’s website for free.
Other features include touch scrolling, plug-and-play, a storage compartment for the nano receiver, and the ball itself can be popped out of its place for cleaning. It is compatible with Windows 7, XP, Vista, and Mac OS X.
The Kensington Orbit mobile trackball is available for pre-order through Kensington, Amazon, and other major retailers for an MSRP of $59.99. It comes with a 5-year limited warranty.

- Paste templates: allows for popup menu programming with text paste options
- More clicking capability: create left and right-click commands
