Ion-based Acer Aspire Revo spotted on UK retailer site

We’ve seen evidence of Acer’s upcoming Ion-based nettop before, and now it looks as if they’ll definitely be the first out the door.  Four different versions of the Aspire Revo have appeared on the UK merchant Play.com, starting at £179.99 ($267) and going up to £330, or roughly $440 US.

The new nettops definitely look to be taking some styling cues from the ASUS Eee Box, though the Revo, with its interesting Ion pairing of the Intel Atom and NVIDIA GPU is certainly looking to be the one to beat.  The base model is just that — pretty sparse, including 1GB of RAM, an 8GB SSD and a distribution of Linux for an OS.  The high end offers 2GB RAM, 160GB HD, Vista Home Premium, a 3D controller and ten games.

Play.com is showing the svelte new stars with a release date of May 18th.  While we haven’t yet gotten any concrete information on a stateside release, hopefully it won’t be too far behind that date.
