Invisible Glass Coming to Notebooks?

Excessive reflections from glossy notebook computer screens may soon be a thing of the past thanks to a new product from Nippon Electric Glass (NEG). The “invisible glass” product features an anti-reflection film on both sides. While a typical sheet of glass reflects about 8% of light, the invisible glass reflects just 0.5% (meaning 99.5% passes through). The invisible glass product really is almost invisible to the eye.

No word on whether this will see application in notebook computers, but if used it could solve the inherent reflectiveness of notebooks with glossy-type displays.
