Intel 4-series chipsets coming at Computex 2008

by Reads (953)

Intel will officially launch its 4-series chipsets including the P45 at Computex 2008. The 4-series product line will include the P43 and P45, which will have PCI-e slots for external graphics cards, and the G43 and G45, which will have integrated graphics processors (IGPs).

While the P43 and P45 are set for launch, the G43 and G45 will be delayed two to three weeks to fix VC1 hardware decoding issues and to increase the IGP’s core clock to 800MHz. The enterprise-class Q43 and Q45 are also going to be delayed due to some instabilities; they are scheduled to start shipping halfway through July.
