The HP Imaging and Printing Group revealed the Photosmart Premium with Touchsmart Web, the world’s first web-connected home printer, through Current and Twitter this afternoon.

HP has partnered with several heavy hitters to create preset free applications for this new release including: Google, Nickelodeon, Fandango, Coupons.com, DreamWorks, Web Suduko, Snapfish (HP’s photo site), USA Today, etc.

Users can also download other free applications through the Photosmart Premium’s user interface and HP’s App studio but HP is quick to point out that the new Photosmart Premium is not a notebook; users can not browse the web using a browser window such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

The Photosmart Premium with Touchsmart Web is a 4-in-1 printer – print, scan, copy and fax – featuring print speeds up to 33 pages per minute, a 4×6 photo in 18 seconds, a 4.33 inch color touchscreen, automatic duplexing, a memory card reader, DLNA certified, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, and Ethernet connectivity.

Also included are some of HP’s patented tech software: HP Auto Sense, HP Photo Print Gadget, HP Smart Web printing and HP iPrint Photo.

The Photosmart Premium with Touchsmart Web is Energy Star qualified and shipped in a reusable bag made from recycled plastics.

The HP Photosmart Premium with Touchsmart Web All-in-One inkjet printer will be available this fall for an estimated retail price of $399.
