With Windows 8 set to release this Friday, HP has announced today its new lineup of consumer and business PCs designed to work with the new operating system. HP has crafted a new line notebooks all designed to coalesce with Microsoft’s new OS. Many of them are already available for purchase or pre-order, with others due to hit shelves in near future.
HP Envy x2
HP has revealed 7 notebooks to be included in its new Windows 8 portfolio. Among them is the HP Envy x2 a convertible notebook that doubles as a tablet. The device will come equipped with an 11.6-inch HD touch enabled display, Beats Audio, and an 8-megapixel HD camera. The hybrid notebook will also offer near field communication (NFC) allowing users to instantly share information, such as photos or contacts with a simple tap.
The device is expected to hit shelves in the U.S. on Nov. 14, with prices starting at $850.
HP SpectreXT TouchSmart UltrabookTM
The HP SpectreXT TouchSmart Ultrabook TM will offer a stunning aesthetic via its 15.6-inch multitouch enabled HD display and full metal body. The device will also offer the portability expected from an Ultrabook measuring at 17.9-milameters thick. Similar to the Envy before it, the HP SpectreXT TouchSmart Ultrabook TM will be HP’s first Ultrabook with Intel’s Thunderbolt technology, helping to provide the device with fast transfer speeds.
The notebook is expected in the U.S. sometime in December, starting at $1,400.
HP Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4
The HP Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4 will feature a 14-inch multitouch enabled HD display, a subwoofer with Beats Audio, optional AMD graphics equipped with 2GB of memory.
This device is currently available. for pre-orders in the U.S, with prices starting at $800.
HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and Pavilion Sleekbook 15
HP Pavillion Sleekbooks 14 and 15 will provide affordable options for consumers looking for thin portable windows 8 compatible devices. Despite the difference in display sizes, measuring at 14-inches and 15.6-inches respectively; the two notebooks offer different processor options as well. The HP Paviliion Sleek book offers AMD dual-core processing models, while the Pavillion Sleekbook 15 offers both second and third Intel generation dual-core processors (information according HP’s website).
Both models are currently available in the U.S., with prices starting at the $500 for the Pavillion Sleekbook 14 and $580 for the Pavillion Sleekbook 15.
HP Envy m4 Notebook
The HP envy m4 Notebook will strives to offer a balance between performance and style. The notebook will offer modest i3 and i5 processor models, providing up to 8 GB of RAM, and offers up to an impressive 1 TB hard drive (solid state drive options also available).
This notebook is currently available in the U.S. at BestBuy reatailers with prices starting at $900.
HP Pavilion dm1
Closing out the list is the affordable and mobile HP Paviliion dm1. The 11-inch notebook currently offers 200 MB of free data per month for two years of 4G mobile broadband from T-Mobile, with no contract or commitments necessary.
The device is currently available for purchase in the U.S., with prices starting at $500.
