HP will soon be updating its ZV5000 notebook line with the ZV6000. In addition the RT3000 will be replaced by the RT4000. We’ve got a few pictures of these laptops to share, but the specs are still rather sketchy.
HP Pavilion ZV6000
The Pavilion ZV6000 will be a 15.4″ notebook with a widescreen LCD and BrightView option. We’re guessing the ZV6000 will be offered like the ZV5000 is with a ZV6000Z AMD processor configuration and a ZV6000T with an Intel Pentium M processor. It will be interesting to see if this laptop is offered with the upcoming AMD Turion Mobile processor, according to reports from the website DigitTimes.com HP will be releasing notebooks in April that feature the AMD Turion Mobile processor so the ZV6000Z might well be that offering. Again, we’re short on specs for this notebook but from pictures we can see that it has an Express Card slot, PCMCIA card slot, Media Card Reader built-in, FireWire port, 3 USB 2.0 slots, monitor out port, optical drive on the left side and media buttons.
Compaq Presario R4000
Once again we’re short on hard specs for the R4000. We believe this will replace the R3000 model series from Compaq and will offer a R4000T Intel based model and R4000Z AMD based model. Looking at the pictures we can see it’s a 15.4″ widescreen notebook and has an Express Card slot, PCMCIA card slot, Media Card Reader built-in, FireWire port, 3 USB 2.0 slots, monitor out port and paralell port. The look is very clean with few extra hardware buttons.
