HP unveiled two new additions to its Officejet lineup, the Officejet Pro 8000 Enterprise Printer and the Officejet 100 Mobile Printer, targeted at business customers with expansive and/or mobile needs.
The Officejet 100 Mobile Printer is a first for HP, allowing for mobile color printing anywhere thanks to a compact, portable device featuring a long-life lithium ion battery that prints up to 500 pages when fully charged and a built-in Bluetooth wireless technology for syncing with a variety of devices. This includes Windows Mobile phones, BlackBerry, HP webOS, Palm OS, Nokia Symbian smartphones, notebooks and netbooks.
Other features include print speeds up to 5 ppm in black and 3.5 ppm in color, 4×6 photo printing via a PictBridge port, 500 page monthly duty cycle, two cartridge ink system (HP 98 and HP 95) and Energy Star certification.
The Officejet Pro 8000 Enterprise Printer is an extension of the HP Officejet Pro 8000 series we reviewed a while back. The new Officejet Pro 8000 Enterprise Printer is targeted at Enterprise customers (hence the name) who need smaller, more mobile printers for branch/satellite offices and/or smaller workspaces.
New benefits include the HP Universal Print Driver, HP Web Jetadmin, support for a variety of IT infrastructures, support for HP ePrint Enterprise, increased print options (HP PCL 6, PCL 5c, Postscript 3, etc.) and security management.
Other features include print speeds up to 13 ppm in black and 8.5 ppm in color, automatic duplexing, a 250-sheet paper tray (expandable up to 500 sheets), a 15,000 page monthly duty cycle and built-in networking.
